Ingredients:
1 tbL unsalted butter
4 large pork chops -- 1-1/2 inches thick
2 tbl flour -- or soy flour
4 oz mushrooms -- sliced
1/2 tsp thyme
1 cup beer -- room temperature
Directions:
Melt butter in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Lightly flour chops and sauté 2-3 minutes until browned on both sides. Transfer chops to a platter. Add mushrooms and thyme to pan and sauté 1 minute. Return chops to skillet, add beer and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 12-15 minutes until pork is just cooked throughout.
