Donut Recipes>Powdered Donuts RecipeIngredients: 5 egg yolks 1 cake yeast 6 cups flour 1 tsp. salt 3 cups milk 3 Tbs. unsalted butter 1/2 cup granulated sugar Directions: Mix yeast & sugar in lukewarm water; let stand. Mix together egg yolks, butter and yeast mixture. Add flour and make a soft dough. Mix well with a wooden spoon; let stand 1 hour. Do Not knead ! Place donut dough on a floured board, and pat out to about a 1 inch thickness with your hands. Do Not use a rolling pin! Cut out donuts, let stand 45 minutes. Deep fry in oil until golden brown. Remove, drain and sprinkle with powdered sugar. |
